Subject: Complaint Against Ola Electric for Defective Scooter, Poor Performance, and Unresponsive Customer Service

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my Ola Electric scooter, purchased in November 2021. From the very beginning, the vehicle has faced repeated issues, particularly with the battery, which had to be replaced 2–3 times within the first six months of purchase.

Over the past two months, additional problems have emerged, making the scooter unsafe and unreliable:

  • Brake pads are not functioning properly.
  • Handle lock has failed, causing safety concerns.
  • One of the screws from the front panel above the front wheel came off, indicating poor build quality.
I have been consistently trying to raise service tickets through the Ola app, but the experience has been extremely unsatisfactory:

  • Service slots are rarely available, and when they are, they are at highly inconvenient timings.
  • The nearest service center (Kharadi, Pune) is unresponsive. Initially, they refused to accept my vehicle and later informed me that the center has stopped operations.
  • Despite this, the Ola app and customer care continue to allocate service slots to this same closed center.
  • Customer care numbers are frequently unreachable, and when connected (after long waiting times), no effective solution is provided.
  • Emergency service calls only result in empty assurances of escalation, without any follow-up action.
This has caused me severe frustration, inconvenience, and safety risks. The recurring product failures, coupled with the lack of effective customer support and service infrastructure, are highly disappointing.

I therefore request Ola Electric to take immediate corrective action:
  1. Arrange urgent servicing and repairs of my scooter to make it roadworthy and safe.
  2. Provide access to a functional and accessible service center in my area at the earliest.
  3. Strengthen customer care support to ensure timely and effective resolution of complaints.
If these issues are not addressed promptly, I will be left with no choice but to escalate the matter further to the Consumer Protection Authorities.

I look forward to your urgent response and resolution.
