I, Humayun Kabir, am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Jio Fiber for providing a defective product and failing to offer adequate customer support despite repeated requests. My issue remains unresolved, and I am seeking immediate intervention from the Consumer Forum for a fair and timely resolution.

Complaint Summary:

  1. Defective Product: I subscribed to Jio Fiber, and the connection was installed at my residence. From the very beginning, I faced persistent issues with network connectivity, with both the 4G network and the 2.4 GHz frequency either not working or being extremely unstable.
  2. Engineer Confirmation of Defective Router: When I raised a complaint, a Jio Fiber engineer visited my residence and confirmed that the router provided was indeed defective and needed replacement.
  3. Denial of Replacement Due to Service Shift Request: Despite the engineer’s confirmation, Jio Fiber refused to replace the router, stating that my earlier request for a location shift prevents them from honoring the replacement, even though the product was defective from the start.
  4. Unhelpful Customer Service: My numerous attempts to seek assistance from Jio Fiber’s customer support were met with ineffective troubleshooting suggestions that only added to the delay and frustration. Each call merely advised me to check settings or restart the device, despite my clarifications about the defective hardware confirmed by their own engineer.
  5. Loss and Inconvenience: This prolonged delay in receiving a functional connection has caused significant disruption to my work, studies, and other essential tasks that require reliable internet access.
Resolution Sought:
I am seeking the Consumer Forum’s intervention to expedite the following actions:

  1. Immediate replacement of the defective router at no additional cost.
  2. Assurance of reliable customer support in resolving service issues effectively without unnecessary delays.
  3. Compensation for the inconvenience and disruption caused by this ordeal, which has resulted in personal and financial loss.
