I, Prabhakar, residing at Navalur chennai wish to lodge a formal complaint against Flipkart, an online shopping platform, for cheating and misrepresentation regarding the product purchased by me. The details are as follows:

Nature of Complaint:

  • The advertisement on the Flipkart website clearly mentioned that the above-mentioned mobile phone supports NFC (Near Field Communication). I bought the product solely based on this feature as it is essential for my work (like contactless payments).
  • Upon receiving and setting up the device, I discovered that the NFC feature was missing, both in the device’s settings and as confirmed by the manufacturer’s official specifications. The hardware for NFC is not present in the device.
  • Flipkart’s false representation and delivery of a product that does not match the advertised specifications is a case of cheating and a violation under applicable consumer protection and criminal laws.
Request for Action:
I request you to register my complaint, investigate the matter, and take appropriate action against Flipkart and any person(s) involved under relevant sections of the IPC and consumer protection laws for cheating, criminal breach of trust, and misrepresentation. Kindly help in the recovery of my loss or initiation of other legal proceedings as deemed necessary.
