However, after some time, I received a call from Domino’s stating that they do not deliver to my location. My key concern is: if they do not serve this area, why did the app accept the order and process the online payment? There was no warning or notification at the time of placing the order regarding service unavailability.
To make matters worse, they informed me that the refund will take 7–8 working days. This is unacceptable. While the amount may seem small, I urge you to consider the larger picture—if this happens to even a fraction of India’s 1.4 billion population, Domino’s is holding crores of rupees in customer money without providing any service in return. This is not only unethical but could also amount to financial misconduct or digital fraud.
This issue needs to be addressed urgently. I request the following actions:
- Immediate improvement in Domino’s online systems to block orders from non-serviceable locations.
- Refunds to be issued instantly, not after a week.
- Investigation into Domino’s digital transaction practices and how much customer money is being held unnecessarily.
- Consider strict penalties or action if found in violation of consumer rights.
