I am writing to lodge a complaint against Bakingo for delivering a product of incorrect weight and charging an unjustified amount for the same. The order was placed via the Zomato platform. This order was meant to be part of a surprise for someone special, but due to the mishandling and incorrect delivery, I felt extremely disappointed and distressed.

  1. Order Details:
    • Platform: Zomato
    • Order Number: 6438828782
    • Date of Order: 14th December 2024
    • Product Ordered: Plum Cakes, 400gm
    • Amount Paid: ₹445.48 via UPI
    • Platform Fee: ₹10
    • Packaging Charges: ₹18
  2. Nature of Complaint:
    I ordered a 400gm Plum Cake at the price of ₹448, but upon delivery, I only received a 250gm Plum Cake, which had a price tag of ₹299. Despite paying the full amount for the product, I was provided with a lesser quantity than promised. This not only misled me as a consumer but also violated my consumer rights.

    The incident has not only caused financial loss but has also left me feeling depressed and disheartened, as it ruined the special moment I had planned.
  3. Steps Taken to Resolve the Issue:
    I have attempted to contact both Zomato and the concerned restaurant (Bakingo) to address this discrepancy, but no satisfactory resolution has been provided.
  4. Relief Sought:
    I kindly request the following actions be taken:
    a) Refund of the excess amount paid (₹448 - ₹299 = ₹149).
    b) Compensation for the inconvenience and emotional distress caused due to the misleading delivery.

You have perfect reason to file a case in Consumer Forum, but before filing case we suggest you to wait for some time, generally they will refund the amount within 15 days.
