I am submitting this complaint against Colive (Colive 1247 Diamond, Hyderabad) for non-refund of deposit, illegal deductions, harassment, and unfair practices.

I booked a room in Colive 1247 Diamond by paying:
  • ₹2,000 (Booking)
  • ₹26,000 (Security Deposit)
  • ₹24,000 per month (Rent)
The property was brand new but not ready for occupancy. For the first several weeks, basic amenities were missing:
  • No drinking water
  • No food
  • No Wi-Fi
  • No working washing machine
  • Inconsistent water supply
  • Poor-quality food
  • Old and dirty laundry machines once installed
Every time we raised complaints, the property staff responded with: “It will be arranged soon” but nothing improved.


Unfair Billing Practices:

Every month Colive added random extra charges including:
  • “RentOS”
  • Payment handling charges
  • WiFi additional data
  • Infrastructure fee
  • Reimbursement charges
    These were never explained or justified.

Deposit Scam After Vacating:

I vacated on 16 October, but they demanded full-month rent, which I still paid.
After one month, instead of refunding my ₹26,000 deposit, they sent a settlement claiming:
  • Deductions: ₹56,372
  • Amount they claim I owe: ₹30,372
They added fake charges such as:
  • Separation charge
  • Notice period charge
  • Lock-in period charge
This is clearly a fraudulent practice meant to avoid returning deposits. There are hundreds of similar online complaints against Colive and the founder across various social media platforms.

Harassment:

After questioning these deductions, I received WhatsApp messages threatening:
  • CIBIL score damage
  • NASSCOM listing
  • Police verification issues
  • Background verification problems
  • Legal action
This is intimidation and misuse of personal data.
The property staff stopped picking up calls after I shared the screenshots.

Relief Requested:

I request the consumer forum to direct Colive to:
  1. Refund my full ₹26,000 security deposit immediately.

  3. Take action against the responsible managers for fraudulent behavior.
  4. Prevent Colive from continuing unfair trade practices affecting consumers across India.
