I would like to file a complaint against CGC University for continuous delay and negligence in refunding my seat booking amount.
I paid ₹11,000 as seat booking fees on 8 August 2025 for admission at CGC University. After cancelling my admission, I applied for a refund. The university authorities assured me that the refund would be processed by the end of December, and I waited patiently.
However, the refund has still not been credited. I have sent at least 10 emails to the university regarding the refund. As instructed, I have already submitted all required documents, including father’s Aadhaar, mother’s Aadhaar, cancelled/cross cheque, and other details requested by the university.
Despite submitting all documents, the university is unnecessarily delaying the refund and wasting my time. On WhatsApp, the concerned person either replies with only one word such as “wait” or completely ignores my messages. This behaviour is unprofessional and amounts to mental harassment.
Payment Details:
Amount Paid: ₹11,000
Purpose: Seat Booking Fees
Payment Date: 8 August 2025
Refund Status: Not received till date
This clearly constitutes deficiency in service, negligence, and unfair trade practice by the institution.
I request the Consumer Forum to:
1.Direct CGC University to refund my full seat booking amount immediately
2.Take strict and appropriate action against the university for prolonged delay and harassment
I am attaching payment proof, copies of emails, WhatsApp chat screenshots, and all submitted documents for reference.
