Persons present in the Car - Sahil Tomar (Driver/A+), Abhishek (Co-passenger/B+) and Ashish
(behind Sahil/B+) coming from Haridwar side going towards Delhi had accident on bridge
near Kurdi after Manglaur City around 4:30AM-5:00AM.
Cause of Accident – When car near the top of bridge, I saw that construction was going on
the left side of lane and there was no indication present. In order to avoid that I turn the car
towards right lane but car got misbalance, I also tried to control the car but eventually car hit
the right side of divider of the bridge. After hitting the divider, car roll over two times then
skit toward driver side, left side of car tires was in the air. Car catches fire as cabin was full of
smoke, in order to escape from car, I tried to break the front shield of car from my leg but
failed and lost conscious for few seconds due to smoke in the car. One of the people (Gaurav
mention in police report) bought wrench from his vehicle in order to break the wind shield
of the car but still wind shield did not break. Some how Abhishek presses the window button
and mirror rolled down. With the help of the people, we all rush out from the front left side
window as car was in fire and lot of smoke present inside the cabin. I Sahil Tomar incurred
injury to my right-hand palm as glass of piece penetrate from my skin, Ashish also injured
injury on his right elbow and little of nose bleed and Abhishek did not have any injuries he
was fine.
He (Gaurav) called the ambulance and police. Police patrolling team and ambulance team
reach the spot within 5-10mins as police station was near to that place. Then we all were
taken to nearby hospital. When we are in the ambulance, I called my brother and later
insurance advisor (Priya Sharma) to inform about the accident. After that our car by towed
by police officers and taken to police station.
