I booked one BSA Goldstar 650 motor cycle with D.M. Automobiles, 465A, G.T. Road , New Jawahar Nagar, Jalandhar and paid Rs 5000 vide receipt no.94 on 04.02.2025, signed by their authorized person called Mukul Bhatti.

The deal did not mature since the negotiations failed due to unclear meter readings and change in quoted price by the salesperson.

So the bike was not purchased. But the owner of the firm is refusing to pay the booking amount saying that it can not be refunded after 40 days, despite the commitment and assurance by the manager and salesperson at the time of booking that this amount was refundable.

I want my refundable booking amount back as per their commitment.

In such a situation, we suggest that you proceed by sending a legal notice to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the D M Automobiles, formally requesting a resolution of your issue and refund the amount. Kindly allow them a 15-day period to respond to the notice.

If you do not receive any response within this timeframe, please revert to us. We will then guide you through the process of filing a case in the Consumer Forum.
