I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Amazon India regarding a refund assurance that has not been honored, despite clear written communication from their customer support.

Old Order ID: 171-5175971-4921916
Old Order Amount: ₹38,665.69
New Order ID: 406-6111305-8256352
New Order Amount: ₹44,990.00
Refund Amount Promised: ₹6,320.00
Date of New Order: 31st May 2025
As per the email from Amazon’s customer care representative, I was explicitly instructed to place a new order for the same item, and I was promised a reimbursement of the difference amount (₹6,320) to my Amazon Pay balance once the return window of the new order was closed.
I followed the instructions in good faith and placed the new order. However, even after the return window has closed, no reimbursement has been issued. Furthermore, Amazon's support team has stopped responding and is now denying the earlier written commitment.
This behavior not only constitutes a breach of trust and misrepresentation but also violates my consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
I am requesting the following resolution:
Immediate processing of the promised reimbursement of ₹6,320 to my Amazon Pay balance.
I kindly request the Consumer Court to take necessary action and direct Amazon to honor their commitment at the earliest.
