Hi,

I didn’t want to pay premium of a policy and I didn’t keep sufficient balance in order to avoid deduction but due to this auto sweep in from another hdfc bank account, the amount got deducted because of which i am not suffering with my other transactions due to insufficient balance. Kindly help me here.

Also, for the policy, i emailed bank to disable auto debit and surrender the policy and after few days, the amount deducted with auto sweep in from another hdfc bank account. This definitely concerns me as it happened without my consent.
 
  • Issue a Legal Notice to Bank
    Demand:
    • Refund of unauthorized deductions.
    • Confirmation that auto debit/sweep has been disabled.
    • Compensation for any inconvenience caused.
  • File Complaint with Banking Ombudsman
    If the bank does not resolve the issue within 30 days, escalate the matter to the Banking Ombudsman under RBI.
  • File Consumer Complaint
    For deficiency in service and financial loss, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Forum.
