Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Isha Gupta, residing at 603, Skylark CGHS Apartment, Sector 52, Gurgaon am writing this complaint to the Consumer Court regarding a serious issue I have faced with Star Health Insurance, where my policy remains inactive despite making a payment in December 2024, and the insurance company has failed to process my reimbursement claims. I have got this policy

Details of the Complaint:
Policy Number: 6535112500094137
Claim Number: PB99896711
Date of Payment: December 2024
Date of Complaint Submission: 10th June 2025

Background of the Issue:
I made the full payment for my policy in December 2024 through Policy Bazaar. However, despite waiting for over six months, my policy has not been activated. I have made multiple complaints and inquiries to Star Health Insurance regarding this issue, but they have failed to take any action or resolve the situation.

In March, I fell ill and approached Star Health Insurance requesting to use my policy for medical reimbursement. To my shock, I was informed that the policy was still not activated, and at that time, I was advised twice that I would be liable for reimbursement.

Afterward, I filed a claim for reimbursement, but my claim was rejected. I was told that Star Health Insurance could not process the claim, citing various reasons that were never clearly explained. This further added to my frustration and distress.

Additional Issues:
Incorrect Policy Number: Upon further investigation, I discovered that Star Health Insurance had mistakenly entered another person’s number instead of mine in the system. After I raised this issue, they corrected the error, but my policy still remains inactive, with no action taken on their part to resolve the matter.
Failure to Activate the Policy: Despite numerous follow-ups, my policy has remained inactive, and I have yet to receive any concrete response or resolution from Star Health Insurance.

Non-Responsiveness: Recently, after making further complaints, Star Health Insurance has completely stopped responding to my calls, emails, or messages, leaving me with no options to resolve this matter.

Request for Redressal:
I kindly request that the Consumer Court order Star Health Insurance to activate my policy and make the necessary arrangements for the reimbursement process without further delay.
I request compensation for the undue delay, inconvenience, and financial hardship caused due to the failure of the company to honor its contractual obligations.
I also seek a resolution for the repeated non-responsiveness of Star Health Insurance and demand that they be held accountable for their negligence and lack of communication.
I am attaching all the relevant documents, including the payment receipt, policy document, claim form, and correspondence with Star Health Insurance.

I trust that the Consumer Court will take appropriate action to ensure that my rights as a consumer are upheld, and I will receive the services I have rightfully paid for.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yours faithfully,
Isha Gupta
