Durga Tirwa

Hi Team,

I am writing to report a serious case of unauthorized access to my Flipkart account and fraudulent use of my HDFC credit card.

On 16 September 2026, at approximately 2:00 AM, my Flipkart account appears to have been hacked/compromised. An unauthorized order was placed for a Vivo V70 FE (Monsoon Blue 2026, 256 GB) using my HDFC credit card. At the time, I was asleep and had not placed or authorized this order.

The order was scheduled for delivery on 17 September 2026. Around 11:00 AM, I received an "Out for Delivery" notification and immediately realized that I had not placed the order. I then contacted HDFC Bank's customer care and blocked my credit card to prevent any further unauthorized transactions.

I also contacted Flipkart Customer Care at approximately 9:30 AM on 17 September 2026 and clearly explained that my account had been compromised and that the order was fraudulent. I requested that the order be cancelled immediately. I was also informed by Flipkart that my account had indeed been hacked/compromised.

Despite being informed about the fraudulent transaction, the order was not cancelled. Furthermore, the "Out for Delivery" notification provided the delivery person's contact number and delivery PIN. I attempted to contact the delivery person, but unfortunately, my calls were not answered.

I am extremely concerned about how an unauthorized order could be placed at approximately 2:00 AM, charged to my credit card, and then proceed to delivery even after I reported the incident to Flipkart. This raises serious concerns regarding the handling of fraudulent transactions and the security measures in place to protect customers.

I therefore request Flipkart to urgently investigate this incident and take the following actions:

  1. Investigate how my Flipkart account was compromised and how the unauthorized order was placed.
  2. Investigate why the order was not cancelled immediately after I reported the fraud.
  3. Trace and recover the device using the IMEI number associated with the phone.
  4. Investigate the delivery address, recipient details, phone number, and other information available in the order records.
  5. Preserve all relevant records, including account access logs, order details, payment information, delivery records, IP/device information, and communication records, for investigation by the authorities.
  6. Cooperate fully with the Cyber Crime authorities and other investigating agencies, as I have already reported this matter to them.
  7. Confirm in writing the actions taken by Flipkart and the status of the investigation.
I am attaching the invoice/bill and the available details of the recipient/address associated with the fraudulent order for your reference.

This is a serious case of online fraud and unauthorized use of my financial information. I request Flipkart to treat this matter as URGENT and take immediate steps to trace and recover the device and assist the authorities in identifying the person responsible.

I look forward to your immediate response and a detailed update on the action being taken.
