I Basavaraj m r resident of 6th main roadswami vivekananda badavane, Davangere Karnataka i am physically challenged person wish to lodge a complaint against HDFC Bank Ltd. for unjustifiably holding an amount of ₹12.517 from my Savings 50100327033671 account since 31th july 2025and failing to resolve the issue even after multiple follow-ups.


Despite raising a complaint and repeatedly contacting their customer service, I was misled with false turnaround times (TATs) and eventually faced disconnection of calls with no resolution provided. This has caused me mental harassment, inconvenience, and financial difficulty.

  1. Immediately release the held amount and credit it to my account/card.
  2. Pay compensation for mental stress and harassment.
  3. If there's no satisfactory response, lodge a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
  4. You can file the complaint online via the e-jagriti Platform: Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution, Government of India claiming:
    Refund Amount - ₹ 12517/-.
    Compensation for mental agony and financial loss - ₹ 2000000/-.
    Litigation charges - ₹ /-25000
  5. Jurisdiction: Since the amount involved is ₹36,288/-, the complaint falls under the purview of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
  6. Procedure:
    • Prepare a detailed complaint outlining all facts, supported by relevant documents (communication records, bank statement, etc.).
    • Submit the complaint along with the requisite court fee (Zero in your case).
