We bought group policy for my parents through Bank of Baroda agent and it was 2nd year of policy my father was admitted to the hospital and for severe chest infection during treatment he diagnosed with Lung cancer advance stage, he was hospitalised for around 6 weeks in Sai Amrut Hospital Satara, in that he succumbed to the disease. We filed claim as hospital wasn’t in insurance list, we submitted all the records and required documents to the star health insurance company.First they asked for doctors letter stating that cancer wasn’t existed before hospitalisation , we provided them all the information time and again, after 2 months they rejected claim by stating that while renewal of policy we hide the patient’s condition , in actual at the time of policy renewal my father wasn’t ill, he was in good health.
Star health insurance company is a bid fraudster, who doesn’t want to pay the consumers bills, and harasses them while the process.
Why don’t they go to the hospitals and check themselves the situation of the patient, or they can meet the doctor. We have all the documents if need to provide. My old mother has to deal with this issue after my fathers demise and she stays alone.
Insurance company toll free numbers or provided contact numbers are fraud they don’t even care consumers, they reply only via emails.
