I Ansh Kejriwal graduated from Delhi University on June 2025, who was staying as paying guest at
‘Horizon PG’, 162, Mochi Bagh, Nanakpura, South Moti Bagh, New Delhi- 110021, under the
ownership of Mr. Rajeev Chahal (Contact No.- 9917544400)
I belong to a middle-class family, my father worked very hard and paid a security deposit of ₹30,000
to the owner at the time of joining the PG.
In April 2025, I informed the owner that I would be vacating the PG by 1st June, 2025 and requested
to adjust the security deposit for the rent of April and May. However, the PG Owner refused and
stated that the April rent must be paid or else I would be forced to leave the PG immediately. Under
pressure my father paid the April rent.
Owner informed my father that may rent would be adjusted from the deposit and the remaining
₹15,000 would be refunded at the time of vacating the PG. However, after vacating the PG in June
the owner started ignoring the calls, blocked every number and is now refusing to return the balance
amount of ₹15,000.
He is falsely claiming that there was an 11-month lock in period ending on 30th June, which was
never mentioned in any of his agreement as well as he has still not given me any written agreement. I
and my father asked him to give multiple times but he ignored and made excuses.
This is a clear case of dishonesty, harassment and cheating. Taking advantage of a student’s financial
situation after receiving money shows deliberate intent to defraud.
I humbly request your kind intervention and action against the owner to recover the refundable
amount which rightfully belong to me. I am attaching the available proof of security deposit and
other supporting documents.
Being a student, I request you to consider my situation, 15000 is not a small amount for me, it is hard
earned money that should not be taken away from a student.
